The Biomes are what really matter, the background and terrain painting tools change depending on the biome e.g. I have made a collection of Blueprints to use for TreeTop Walks/Trails. Click on the Download Game button for a complete installation. The continent does not matter in terms of game play, it is only important for the "Planet Zoo" achievement and if you like seeing your zoos all over the globe and whatnot. When you start up a save or a new zoo, you get to choose the location of said zoo, this means you get to pick the continent and biome.
